The ten best beaches in Peru, all dreamy corners bathed by the Pacific Ocean, some famous for the lively life that they concentrate in their surroundings and other hidden paradises among impressive natural scenery.

1- Punta Sal (Tumbes):

Famous beach resort in the north of Peru, a place with a privileged climate where the sun remains radiant throughout the year and a wide variety of tourist services, including from first class hotels to hostels for lower budgets.

Its two beautiful beaches stretch for approximately 6.5 kilometers, both with fine white sands and warm waters, ideal for bathing and diving. Between the months of June to October, it is also possible to see from the shore, the spectacle of humpback whales leaning to the surface.

2- Zorritos (Tumbes):

5- Pimentel Beach (Lambayeque):

Walks along the boardwalk, nightlife, gastronomy and the possibility of appreciating the ancient fishing tradition in totora horses, complement the attractions of this spa.

6- Huanchaco (La Libertad):

7- El Silencio Beach (Lima):

One of the most famous spas in Lima, being located no more than 30 minutes by car, comprising a long and narrow white sand beach with a privileged surf for surfing and other water sports.

Its attractions also include its vast entertainment offer, with numerous restaurants facing the beach, discotheques in its surroundings and a lot of visitors, especially during weekends and the summer season.

8- Tuquillo (Ancash):

Known as the pool of the Pacific Ocean for the tranquility of its blue waters, a site with exceptional scenic beauty, surrounded by cliffs and islets that rise no more than 50 meters from the shore, where several species of birds coexist.

Tuquillo also stands out for its peaceful tourist offer, a place where large hotels are not found, but on the contrary an interesting proposal of rural tourism, with mansions and restaurants of noble materials, that work in the summer season, on the banks of the sand. In the surroundings of the spa there are other beaches of interest, such as La Pocita, with extremely calm waters and Antivito, with larger waves, ideal for surfing.

9- The Paracas Mine (Ica):

Beach immersed in the captivating scenarios of the Paracas National Reserve, an area of ​​conservation of desert and marine areas, where diverse species typical of the marine ecosystems of the Humboldt Current coexist, such as sea lions, Humboldt penguins, dolphins, flamingos and guano birds.

The beach itself, just one of the many gems of the reserve, corresponds to an idyllic site, comprising a small strip of golden sands surrounded by cliffs and eroded hills, with calm and crystalline waters where some rocky promontories appear. Although the water is freezing, it is suitable for bathing and snorkeling.

10- Puerto InKa (Arequipa):

Considered among the best beaches in southern Peru, for the fascinating archaeological remains scattered in its surrounding hills, mostly ruins of a settlement of Pre-Inca and Inca cultures, where chullpas are appreciable, tombs and ceremonial plazas, among other ruins. Also from the site, an old Inca road that connects the Pacific Ocean with the city of Cuzco is born.

The beach itself, is surrounded by cliffs and huge rock formations that embrace it as a bay, with golden sands and deep blue waters, where it is possible to dive and other water sports.
