Since July 1 of this year, the Decentralized Directorate of Culture (DDC) Cusco established certain prohibitions for visitors, tourists, tour guides and any other person regardless of their condition, during their visits to the interior of the Inca llaqta of Machu Picchu .

The regulation specifies that the breach of the restrictions will determine the expulsion of the Machu Picchu llaqcta without the right to refund the amount of the entrance ticket. The DDC Cusco, under objective criteria and considering the seriousness of the infraction, will initiate the corresponding legal actions.

The Ministerial Resolution N ° 070-2017-MC, prohibits the use of tripods, supports or extensions for cameras, cell phones or any other element of stabilization or extension for filming and / or photography in the Machu Picchu llaqta. Among them the so-called ‘selfie stick’ or monopod that fits the mobile phone to take photos or videos.

The use of backpacks, bags or bags of more than 40x35x20 centimeters. Those that exceed this size / capacity must be deposited in the cloakroom, which is located at the entrance to the Inca citadel.

The income with food and household goods; with any illegal substance or under its effects; with any type of alcoholic beverage or alcoholic beverage; with animals (with the exception of guide dogs when strictly necessary), with any type of aerosols, as well as with any type of musical instrument, megaphone or speakers.

It is also not allowed to use virtual applications with cell phones or mobile devices in narrow arteries, trails and places of congestion (the use of these technologies is allowed only in large spaces and areas of explanation); Do not enter with heels or hard-heeled shoes (entry is allowed only with shoes or sports shoes with a soft or rubbery floor) or access with baby carriages (only accessible with baby carriers that do not have metal frames).

It is forbidden to enter with sharps and / or weapons of any kind or enter with banners, posters and / or posters, among other objects of this type (the use of flags will be exclusive to the tourist guides with groups larger than 5 visitors and will be limited to the model and dimensions presented by the competent authority in coordination with the respective unions).

It is not allowed to cause tumult, jump, jump or generate disorder in the access to the Machu Picchu llaqta and / or in any point to the interior of the same one, to enter with clothes destined for advertising purposes, to climb or lean on the walls and / or structures, touch, move or extract lithic elements, perform any type of graffiti, as well as disturb, collect or extract native flora or fauna and / or cultural elements.

It is not allowed to carry out activities that distort the sacred character of the Machu Picchu llaqta, such as fashion shows, dances and social engagements, ceremonies of any kind; enter portable seats, among others; to enter canes with a metal or hard tip (the use of canes is allowed for elderly people or those with obvious physical disability, as long as they have a rubber tip); carry out any type of activity that implies the impairment or deterioration of the Machu Picchu llaqta, its natural environment and / or facilities; obscene acts contrary to morals and good manners, and not to undress, disguise, lie down, run and / or jump.

Finally, it is forbidden to make loud or annoying noises such as clapping, shouting, whistling, singing, among others; smoking or vaping; perform any type of fire; throw waste of any kind; not respect the established circuits and routes; ambulatory trade inside the Machu Picchu llaqta and adjacent spaces to the Ruinas bridge; feed domestic and wild animals, fly over with paragliders, drones or any type of smaller ship; as well as filming or photographing for advertising purposes or in high-risk places.

Finally, illegal entry to the Machu Picchu llaqta by illegal routes is prohibited.
