FIFPro supported Paolo Guerrero and an “emergency” meeting with FIFA
The International Federation of Professional Soccer Players (FIFPro) described as “unfair and disproportionate” the sanction of TAS against Paolo Guerrero.
A light of hope appears for Paolo Guerrero. FIFPro (International Federation of Professional Footballers) requested an emergency meeting with FIFA over the “disproportionate and unfair” failure of the TAS, which extended the sanction of the ‘Predator’ to 14 months and relegated it from the 2018 World Cup.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport extended the sanction of Paolo Guerrero and sentenced him to 14 months off the professional soccer fields. In this way the Russia 2018 World Cup is lost.
Paolo Guerrero arrived in Lima on Tuesday morning and said his lawyers are looking at all the legal issues. On the other hand, he appreciated the position of the FIFPro.
